Welcome, Welcome to My Anti-Anxiety Toolbox Website!

I am so very glad to have you here.

I want to provide you with some simple tools to keep close in mind and close at hand when you feel anxious, even extremely anxious.

The information here should be very well organized for people that might have trouble focusing and so as not to overwhelm, making you feel like you don’t know where to start.

Because I’m striving to be concise, you might think some of my articles are too simple or incomplete. Please feel free to ask questions for further information or suggest an article subject you would like to see.

I don’t talk too much about prescription medications for anxiety here because I did not have good experiences with taking them. So this is more for those of you who would like to use strategies and natural products to help you through your anxiety. In my experience, they can work amazingly well and often very fast.

MY STORY

My first real experience with anxiety was 20 years ago.

At the time I didn’t understand what was happening. It’s hard to explain the exact feelings I had but for example, I remember shopping with some friends one day and I set something down in the store. When I couldn’t find it I started looking around frantically and saying out loud, “I don’t know what I did with it, what am I going to do, I can’t find it.”

I was aware that my reaction was extreme but I couldn’t stop it.

It’s was a bad experience because I knew I  seemed crazy but I couldn’t help it and at the time I didn’t know about anxiety. My own lack of awareness made me wonder what was wrong with me.

There were other ways my anxiety manifested like panic attacks, my heart would race and I would breathe fast. Sometimes I would repeat out loud, “I don’t know what to do, I just don’t know what to do,” I learned to recognize that feeling and I found a supplement that I could take when I felt that way.

Social anxiety… Maybe some of you can relate to the feeling I have had of … beating myself up, with my thoughts, after every social interaction, ruminating over everything I might have said wrong.

There are many examples, I will relate more in my blog posts but I found products that helped me through these attacks back then and I continue to use many products and strategies that help me through my anxiety to this day. I’ve been so happy to have relief, especially from social anxiety.

A couple of years ago I helped my daughter through really awful anxiety attacks that came as a result of treatment for Lyme disease. It was really heartbreaking to see her go through so much fear.  Seeing her get relief was the best feeling ever.

My son suffers from social anxiety as I do and I will mention him at times throughout my blog.

WHY I WANT TO HELP PEOPLE

I always relate to people that say they have anxiety, which is so common now. I really feel for them and all of you who have come here because you are suffering. I know how bad it feels.

It’s not just the physical feelings that are bad enough but it can make social situations so hard and leave you feeling bad about yourself. It can be absolutely debilitating.

I want to help you with the strategies I have learned over the years. I hope to help many but honestly, if just one person can get relief from anything I share here it would be so rewarding for me. Just take away something and add it to the other things you have learned, that’s what I try to do.

THE GOAL OF MY SITE

The goal of my website is to literally help you build a Toolbox of some strategies and some natural products including essential oils, homeopathic remedies, herbs, and vitamins.

I believe that each person really has to find out what works for them personally but through the articles and provided charts, you can see what can typically help with certain feelings.

I want people suffering from anxiety to feel welcome and understood here.
