Reading comforting Bible scriptures when you are stressed is very soothing especially if you can be in quiet surroundings and really let the words sink in. Some will hit home more than others and become your favorites. When your circumstances change, other scriptures will resonate that didn’t before.

Psalm 94:19 – When anxieties overwhelmed me, you comforted and soothed me.
Psalm 139:23 – Search through me, O God, and know my heart. Examine me, and know my anxious thoughts.
Proverbs 12:25 – Anxiety in a man’s heart weighs it down, But a good word cheers it up.
Isaiah 35:4 – Say to those who are anxious at heart: “Be strong. Do not be afraid. Look! Your own God will come with vengeance, God will come with retribution. He will come and save you.”
Isaiah 41:10 – Do not be afraid, for I am with you. Do not be anxious, for I am your God. I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness.
Matthew 6:34 – So never be anxious about the next day, for the next day will have its own anxieties. Each day has enough of its own troubles.
Luke12:25 – Who of you by being anxious can add a cubit to his life span?
John 14:27 – I give you my peace…. Do not let your hearts be troubled nor let them shrink out of fear.
Romans 15:33 – May the God who gives peace be with all of you.
2 Cor 4:8 – We are hard-pressed in every way, but not cramped beyond movement, we are perplexed, but not absolutely with no way out;
Philippians 4:6 – Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.
Hebrews 13:5 – Let your way of life be free of the love of money, while you are content with the present things. For he has said: “I will never leave you, and I will never abandon you.”
James 4:8 – Draw close to God and he will draw close to you.
1 Peter 5:7 – while you throw all your anxiety on him, because he cares for you.

Wow! I love this article. This is a very rich and well written article about the Bible. There are so many scriptures in the Bible can can really help one stand back up when they fall. These scriptures that you have just mentioned above as scriptures that help to sooth anxiety are really wonderful scriptures. This is great!

Hello there, I must say I have been finding a way to solve my anxiety issues without having to take any form of drugs… I would definitely give it a trial, As the Bible is the book of knowledge given to us by God and it has been working wonders and I know it would work for me too.
